We sadly discovered a small crack in this otherwise beautiful pelican lamp base that means we can’t send it to the customer as intended.

These things happen when you work with ceramics and it’s disheartening and upsetting but we offer these beauties up as part of our Oopsie Daisy range at a discount.

We’re packing up our Port Macquarie studio and getting everything ready for our big move — birds, lamps, feathers and all.

With the busiest time of the year just around the corner, we decided to make it even busier by moving our studio (and house)!

Because of that we will be unable to promise any Christmas delivery’s. Even though we want to get them to you as quickly as possible, with the studio likely being out of action for a minimum a week if not two to get us back on our feet, we cannot guarantee any orders.

These can be purchased any time up to the day of Christmas and means that you can sit back and relax knowing that your present is secured! Unboxed a fun delivery today @walkerceramicsaust

We replenished our “tool box” with some turning tools and ribs as well as some tongs for dipping some of our smaller pieces.

We top up on some of our underglazes and also got some brush on glazes for some of @sunny_rita_ceramics new pieces. It’s gonna be a fun week of making some test tiles and seeing how they interact with one another!

Ps. Walkers do not skimp on their protective packing! This package took me over 15 minutes to unbox but there’s never any leaks or damages 10/10

Just popping in with a little update from the studio.

Our beloved mid-size kiln Bonnie has hit a bit of a rough patch and is currently out of action. We’ve been running tests to figure out what’s going on (we’re no kiln techs, unfortunately 😅), and now we’re waiting on parts to get her back up and running.

In the meantime, we’re relying on Bessie (the big kiln) and Billie (the tiny one). They’re doing their best, but they’re not quite as convenient — Billie’s too small for larger pieces like our lamps, and Bessie needs a full load to be efficient. So you might notice some delays in production as we work around these challenges.

We appreciate your patience so much — and if you’re thinking of ordering, please do it sooner rather than later so we can get everything to you as smoothly as possible!

And while we’re here... another heads up: we’re moving studios in **late November** (great timing, we know 🙃). This means more disruption behind the scenes and, unfortunately, we won’t be able to guarantee Christmas delivery for orders placed later in the year.🎄⏳

We’re a small team, just the two of us (one part-time!), doing our best to keep everything running as smoothly as possible. We really appreciate your patience and support during this hectic season 💛🫶

A big glaze kiln unload today!

We had so many birds last week that we were able to pull out of our kiln this morning and what a relief to see everything come out so beautifully!

Stay tuned as i have a full video of me unloading the kiln coming out as well as some dips and reveal.

With spring rolling around, we are finally having some better luck with producing but we are still trying to catch up with the orders that we have so it’s still taking us longer than normal to produce (especially the cockatoos) but with more sun we should hopefully be able to dry quicker and get things moving. Thank you for the patience!
